There’s a pain that doesn’t just hit the mind—it lands in the chest. You can feel it: that crushing, aching heaviness that settles deep into your heart when love is lost, betrayal breaks something sacred, or life hits harder than you thought possible. Your heart builds a wall.
I’ve been there.
And not just a little.
There were moments in my former marriage when I was curled up in the fetal position on the bathroom floor, shaking from the inside out, wondering how I could possibly keep going. The pain was so heavy, so deep, that I wasn’t sure I wanted to. Thoughts of ending it all whispered louder than hope.
And then, like divine intervention, I heard something on the radio.
Danny Gokey was telling the story behind his song, “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again.” He had lost his wife to heart complications—and something he said cracked through my fog:
“The heart stops before the brain does. You have to tell it to keep beating.”
I will never forget those words.
Because that’s exactly what I had been doing—telling my heart to keep going. My brain, my subconscious, my spirit… they knew. Even when I didn’t.
They whispered what my body needed to hear:
“It’s okay now. Let your heart beat again.”
What I didn’t realize at the time was that my subconscious wasn’t just helping me survive…
It was also building a wall.
What is a Heart Wall?
The heart isn’t just a muscle. It’s your center—emotionally, energetically, mentally, spiritually. It’s where love is given and received. It’s where God often speaks.
But when pain overwhelms that center, your body steps in to protect it.
Your subconscious takes emotional energy—grief, fear, heartbreak—and forms it into a barrier around the heart.
That’s what we call a Heart Wall.
It may help you survive the moment…
But eventually, it becomes a prison.
Heart Walls can:
-
- Numb you emotionally
-
- Keep you from trusting
-
- Block love and connection
-
- Cause physical discomfort in the chest, back, neck, or shoulders
You might not even realize it’s there—only that something feels off.
That you’re distant from others. Or from yourself.
Like you’re going through the motions, but not really feeling life.
That was me.
And I see it now in so many others who come to me for healing.
❤️ The Release: When the Heart is Finally Free
In a session, I listen closely—to God, to your body, to your soul. I use tuning forks, sacred sound, muscle testing, posture work, prayer, even the cleansing smoke of palo santo when guided. Each Heart Wall is unique. So the way it’s released must be just as sacred and personal.
But the outcome?
It’s the same every time.
Your heart starts to beat again.
Not just physically. But emotionally. Spiritually. Mentally.
You begin to feel again—joy, love, connection, presence.
And sometimes, for the first time in a long time… you feel yourself.
đź’— Not All Heart Walls Come from Crisis
Lately, I haven’t been in those lowest places.
I’m not on the bathroom floor anymore.
But still… my heart has been protected, isolated, and longing to heal.
And healing doesn’t always look like light and gratitude.
Sometimes it looks like disappearing.
Like pulling away from the very people who love you the most, because you need to face the stillness… and let something deep recalibrate.
That’s where I’ve been.
If you’ve felt my absence, know this:
It wasn’t because of distance or disconnection.
It was because my heart needed space to beat again—
not from pain this time, but from truth.
From a quieter, deeper place.
From a healed energy.
And as I return, it’s not the same version of me who left.
It’s a stronger heart.
A softer spirit.
A clearer knowing of who I am and what I carry.
If you’ve ever needed to disappear to find yourself again… I see you.
If your heart is still whispering that it’s not safe to come fully alive…
That’s okay too.
Healing takes time. And truth. And grace.
